Look down upon the aurora and experience the magical awe of the “overview effect”!
The overview effect is a cognitive shift in awareness while viewing the Earth from orbit or from the lunar surface. It refers to the experience of seeing firsthand the reality of the Earth in space, which is immediately understood to be a tiny, fragile ball of life, “hanging in the void”, shielded and nourished by a paper-thin atmosphere. From space, national boundaries vanish, the conflicts that divide people become less important, and the need to create a planetary society with the united will to protect this “pale blue dot” becomes both obvious and imperative.
Your trip starts at Cape Canaveral, where you will launch towards the International Space Station (ISS).
Experience the rollercoaster thrill of launching off from Cape Canaveral. Once we reach orbital heights, you’ll be free to float around in zero gravity environment. Experience the awe of seeing the sunrise and sunset in space, while in orbit around the Earth. Tuck in to the night as we leave Earth orbit towards the ISS.
Check in to ISS.
Marvel at auroras as the ISS circles the Earth. You also get to watch the sun rise and set over the Earth’s curvature every 90 minutes!
Free and easy. Relax around the hotel capsule of the ISS, or go on a tour around the ISS guided by NASA’s astronauts. Sign up for our side activities like helping out with a zero gravity science experiment.
Leave ISS for Earth.
Welcome home! Re-entry into Earth and landing back at Cape Canaveral.
