Explore the mysterious mines of Asteroid Ida and bring back a souvenir of a lifetime! Asteroid Ida is located in the asteroid belt in between Mars and Jupiter. On this 6 month flight of 179.5 – 329 million km to the asteroid belt, we will fly past notable sights like the Moon and Mars. Asteroid Ida itself is about 58 by 23 km in size, so there’s plenty to see and do. With plenty of rocky outcrops, cliffs, valleys and underground caves, Ida is great for rock climbing and caving enthusiasts. This trip was originally inspired by the Galileo spacecraft mission, as shown below:
Experience the rollercoaster thrill of launching off from Cape Canaveral. Once we reach orbital heights, you’ll be free to float around in zero gravity environment. Experience the awe of seeing the sunrise and sunset in space, while on the flyby around the Earth. Tuck in to the night as we leave Earth orbit towards the Asteroid Ida.
See stars you could never see above Earth. Catch the beautiful night lights of different cities as our space ship flies over Earth.
Zip past the Moon, and catch a glimpse of the dark side of the Moon – something no one had ever seen before unless you’re a space traveler! If you’re luck, you might also be able to watch the Earth rise from the Moon’s horizon.
